Macro5 by Martin Guthrie and Pascal Nicolas

FreEPOC is delighted to announce that Pascal Nicolas has joined the team (in a background/advisory role) and that we'll be developing some of his programs further in the coming weeks and months. The first and best-known of these is Macro5 and Martin Guthrie has upgraded it to better support the ER5 colour machines (netBook, Series 7, netPad, etc.).

Updates

Changes since Pascal's v2.40:-

  • New improved colour icon
  • Task switching indicator now at bottom of screen for larger machines
  • Coloured bars, tabs, etc. in all views, shadowing and masking fixed for icons in Graphic view
  • Removed 'Preferences' option in menu of colour machines since doesn't apply
  • Sysinfo.sis and sysram1.sis files incorporated into main Macro5.sis file
  • Updated Macro5Lib files to allow for larger screen machines
  • Updated Help file
  • Added FreEPOC 'About' screens

So what's next?

Possible updates planned for future releases:-

  • Revo compatibility
  • Ability to move Macro5 around the screen
  • Nokia Series 60 compatibility
  • Nokia Communicator compatibility
  • Maybe some other stuff... ;?)

Note that there are two versions for download. The first is Pascal's original version and is suitable for ER1-ER3 machines (e.g. Series 5, Geofox). The second is the updated version and is suitable for all ER5 machines (5mx, Series 7, netBook, netPad) - except the revo (so far!) - and adds colour support to the colour machines.
