• Simple, so that it's easy to use... unless you have complicated needs.
• Flexible, so that it will meet most backup needs.
• Lightning-fast, being far quicker than some competing backup programs.
• Robust, so that it works reliably - even after a hard reset!
• Incremental, so that only the changed files are backed-up.
• Automatable, as it can be automatically run at regular intervals by CronTab.
• Efficient, since it needs little memory.
• Open Source, under the GNU GPL license.

No other backup program comes close - at least going by favourable comments from many users! And of course, it runs happily on all Psion models (except perhaps the original Psion 5).

This seventh release has some good improvements:

• The main display is much more friendly, thanks to the use of a toolbar and an interactive window.
• Improved backing-up of OPXs & OPMs, so newer versions will be backed-up & used correctly.
• Backup OPXs & OPMs are removed during uninstallation, so that they can't cause a problem.
• Many small improvements...

FastBackup has been updated to work with the latest release of the ER6 emulation package. But in case this rushed release does not work as well as it should, you can still download the old Psion version here, and the old Emulator version here. But please let me know if you have any problems!
